Settling In to Retirement

Well, I retired for the second time, once from the Federal Government and now from Northrup Grumman. We moved from the DC/Baltimore area to Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area in Delaware. Settling in just find.

As I look to the future for what to do, I'm focusing on two area of interest... Photography and Genealogy and of course traveling.

Genealogy is a hobby, it's like solving a mystery, I have learned that we here 140 yrs before the Revolution, fought in every major war and are eligible to join many prestigious societies based on linkage. Life is full of consequences, my Mother's ancestors were born in a little town in England called Ripon in the 13oos and my two children were born, 400 years later, in a town called Harrogate that is only 6 miles from there.

Photography has becoming a passion, we travel to Florida for opportunities to "shot" birds. I went to the Bald Eagle Festival in Haines Alaska to take picture of Bald Eagles, highly recommend the trip, 3500 eagles in a small area. Travel back to Alaska to take picture of bears and other wild animals.

As I look forward to life as I know it, I have come to realize that happiness is one of the most important treasures once can obtain. It is within your soul. All you have to do, is dig it out and enjoy it.
